Socialist States Of America

Over 40% of Americans pay zilch in federal taxes at the present time. That’s almost half the tax-paying nation, ladies and gentlemen. So when Obama promises tax cuts to “95% of Americans”, the numbers don’t seem to add up.

Joe Biden, or as many refer to him as, “that white guy” (due to his lack of media exposure compared to Obama/McCain/Palin) recently mentioned that wealthier Americans should engage in a “patriotic duty” by paying more taxes. Excuse me, Mr. Biden, but this economic “plan” sounds awfully familiar:

  1. Rich person gives money to the government as part of taxes.
  2. Poor person has lived off of unemployment the majority of their life and pays no federal income tax.
  3. Poor person receives “tax cut” (indirectly, the rich person’s money) though they pay no income tax to begin with.

How is this not wealth redistribution? Welcome to the Socialist States of America.

Again, I’ll have to interject my disclaimer - no, I’m not saying that all Democrats are poor. No, I’m not looking down on the lower class. The fact that you’re probably reading this article somewhere on a computer or phone warrants your middle/upper-class upbringing, so don’t think I’m talking about you.

I’m talking about the ridiculously high number of Americans who believe employment involves being hired, working for just long enough to claim unemployment, and then reaping the benefits of standing in line being promised a paycheck for a few weeks. The Americans who sit at home and act as if the world is against them rather than getting their act together and climbing the social ladder which is inherent to this free enterprise structure.

Biden’s comment was ridiculous and pure conjecture. If anything, one may consider the rich paying taxes on behalf of the poor an “economic duty” or “moral duty”, but patriotic… you gotta be kidding me. But coupled with higher small business taxes, the Democratic ticket is adding fuel to the fire of economic instability. Members of the upper-class are responsible for creating most of the jobs, so when you tick them off by increasing taxes, they will find ways to cut costs: outsourcing jobs, reducing the number of employees, raising prices on goods and services, etc. Yeah, I’m sure the majority of the nation would bemuch more satisfied with that.

I’m sure many of you have grown skeptical of the “trickle down” approach to economics; however, would you rather continue to please the upper-class who basically manages this country’s economy, or give the lazy, nonworkers more of a reason to be… lazy and nonworking.

Well said Rishi. Majority of Democrats are regulated by the media. Paying higher taxes wil not resolved in any issue. It is sad since so many American disapproved of a communism, yet Obama plan is not too far fetch from it. Basically Obama and Biden came at the right time and right place. Many of people who loose their job is looking for answers, and here come Obama with his slogan “Vote for Change”. They are similar to people who join gangs or cult. They just looking for a leader who they could turn to inorder to help them and blame the problem on someone else. I tjinka vote for a obama will be a change for sure. A change toward socialism or communis,

Thanks Fyfy!! With only one month remaining till the election, things are really starting to heat up for both candidates. It’s going to be interesting how close the election ends up being… even though McCain is the only candidate who stands for a free enterprise rather than a socialist market.

Did you complain when you got your economic stimulus check this year? Thats the same thing you’re arguing against! A “Redistribution of Wealth”! Rich people didn’t get the economic stimulus checks…but middle class and below did.

Actually, I don’t ever recall receiving such a check (coming from a relatively privileged upbringing); however, that’s not my point. All I’m simply saying is that under Obama’s administration, there will no longer an incentive for individuals to become part of the “upper class.”

There are many reason why I rejected Communism and Socialism. Basically in a Communist society, everybody is equal regardless of your skills. A doctor who save 1000 lives a year with 3 deaths get paid the same amount as a doctor who save 9 lives with 100 deaths. That does not make sense to me. Yes people should do their job for their passion instead of money, but there is more than that. It is competition. If I was a great doctor and get paid the same amount as a bad doctor why in the world would I work on improving my skill, there is no used. It is in a society that is unequal paid for skill is where the great can rise. If everybody paid the same, you will not try. There will not be any great invention and most of all no great noble prize winner. If you don’t do it for the money, you doing it for the glory. There in nothing wrong with that as long as a live is save. A doctor who do it for glory save a child, just for the glory. He is well known he care nothing for the child. Is he wrong? yes. But as long as the child get save that all that matter. We need more doctors to save life, whatever the reason behind it is, it is between them and God.

I completely agree, and this is one of the reasons I fear our country under Obama. By taxing the “upper-class”, he gives the majority of Americans no incentive to advance up the social ladder.
